My girlfriend and I ate here because we were looking for a Tiki Bar atmosphere. We ended up using these reviews and ate inside the restaurant. These reviews suggested the Crab Mountain and we didn't order that. We probably should have because we ended up ordering the bacon wrapped scallops which were pretty good. Then we ordered the filet mignon and the boneless short ribs. Those meals were okay, but not worth the price. It's a nice restaurant because it's small and that provides great attentive waitstaff. However, if the food isn't spectacular, how can those prices be justified? Beautiful ocean views and kind service.

The outdoor Tiki Hut (or Monkey Bar) as it is called, is a very unpleasant experiences for those who pay a large amount of money for the ocean front view and then have a big, ugly, loud, smokey, bar right in front of their balcony obstructing their view. I would rather see the ocean than a bunch of loud drunks sitting at the bar all day long. The live music is loud and usually very bad. The person who is performing drinks non stop. I don't know how they manage to perform with all that beer in them. I am not a fan of the Plaza because of this scene. I don't understand how the noise ordinance laws does not shut the live music down. Although this place does not stay open all night, it is unpleasant for anyone who wants to sit on their balcony on the lower floors and have their view obstructed (or take a nap inside their unit) and have to deal with the eye and noise pollution. If you want to enjoy the Plaza as a family, be sure your unit is far away from the Tiki Hut. I don't know why they did not put the bar in a far off corner instead of right near the pool and people's balconies.

This place is so mediocre. The food was very disappointing. My boyfriend got the cheesesteak which was decent, definitely couldve had more meat and cheese. It was $10 for just the small steak with no sides. I personally am from the philly area and will gladly pay $10 for a cheesesteak BUT it will be loaded with meat and cheese. So ill deem it as "mehhh". I had the fried shrimp basket which was only $7.50 (not bad) except the shrimp were the spitting image and taste of the frozen sea pak shrimp from the grocery store....they were small and gross. The bar seemed fun with the live music and all that. But if you plan on coming for just a bite to eat...dont.

Definatley the better place in OC to have crab cakes. On the pool deck of the Plaza Condo building. Very plain looking from outside. This is not a place for "drink specials" or the waitress on college break. This is a place for adults served by adults who want good food at good prices. Small local spot for value and quality. A must have is the Crab Mountain, a real mountain of lump crab meat on a plate. Fish dishes are fantastic.

Best crab cakes I have ever had. Ever!!! Seriously. The frozen drinks are very good. Live music every night, and the bar doesn't stay open all night (good for visitors with balconies near the bar). This is an ideal location for a restaurant... Near the pool, near the condos, near the beach. The wait staff is friendly and creates a relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to the next visit!!!

My family and stayed at the plaza condos for a week. The jungle bar is on the premises next to the pool deck. The location is great and was not too crowded. Also, they had live music during happy hour which is when we were there. In the afternoons as the sun moves West, the plaza building casts a shadow on the jungle bar so it is shaded, cool and comfortable. Those are the highlights. We had friends say the food was good (crab cake) and reasonably priced. It was reasonably priced. My kids ordered corn dogs. They came out extra crispy and burned on one side. Most corn dogs aren't homemade - you just heat them up, right? Perhaps I incorrectly assume those are difficult to mess up. The beer selection is good if you like watered down beer. I asked for an IPA but they don't stock it. PBR yes. Miller Lite yes. Sam Adams no. The Blue Moon did taste better than I remember. We ordered nachos but I would rather starve. Cheese Whiz and bad chips. No thank you. I'll probably be back this week - too convenient. And the happy hour prices on beer and the open location was good enough for a repeat visit.

I'm not sure whether Ria S was reviewing the Jungle Bar or Ocean City. I'll limit my review scope to the actual restaurant. We have dined here on two different occasions, trying both the outdoor and most recently (tonight) the inside dining room. While true that access is not obvious from the front, it is VERY visible and accessible from the beach. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. We have tried their crab in a couple of menu items. It's fresh, delicious, and the portions are appropriate for the price. We will definitely return soon. If you sit outside and do NOT smoke, I would advise sitting as South as possible to stay upwind of the smokers.

This eatery is extremely difficult to locate and find. First pull into a dark parking garage, walk into the front door of an outdated condo complex, take the old elevator up to Floor 1, get spit out at a random corridor with fish painted on the walls. Then you follow the sign pointing in a random direction to the Jungle Bar. It was very difficult to find this place, and it took a concerted and unreasonable amount of effort. Normally, I wouldn't have gone past the front door, but I tried to keep an open mind. After wandering the hallways a bit, we located the Jungle Bar's entrance. There are two parts to the Jungle Bar: the inside portion and the outside portion. The inside portion looked like a nice-enough restaurant, with well-appointed tables, with tablecloths, etc. But my friend and I opted to sit outside to take in the view of the ocean. Outside, there is a simple patio with a tiki bar and grill. The view was gorgeous. The server was very attentive and friendly. The menu was simple but fresh and tasty. We had the grilled tuna and the fried flounder sandwich. Both were good. Unfortunately though, our dining experience will forever be negatively-colored by our boorish and loud neighbors. The table next to ours was filled with a party of 5-10 people who were beyond plastered. These were no college kids or anything, but grown adults (middle aged I'm guessing). (I have no qualms about people having a good time--my rule of thumb is do whatever you want, as long as you do no harm to others). One of the middle-aged men came over to our table, started making chit-chat, never got the hint that we didn't want to talk to him. He then had the audacity to sit down at our table. Then, for the next fifteen minutes, he proceed to verbally harass my friend and I, commenting here and there, about our appearances, racial backgrounds, etc. He finally left after we directly asked him leave. It was like the cast of the Jersey Shore in real life. In my opinion, unfortunately, this kind of beyond-drunkenly behavior has become an outward sign of the state of affairs in Ocean City. I think overall, Ocean City, has gone downhill over the years. It has gotten a lot more boorish, trashy, and completely unapologetic about their binge-drinking-culture. I counted at least three bars "open for breakfast" at nine o'clock in the morning within five blocks of our hotel. There was just *so much liquor* everywhere. There was even liquor in the grocery store (which is a very rare sight in Maryland). It doesn't help either, that the city was never planned out, over-developed, filled with outdated strip malls and condos. I used to go down the Ocean City all the time. I don't think I'll be going down there so much any more.
